Logo for Sussex VCSE Leaders Alliance

The Sussex VCSE Leaders Alliance (SVLA) is for any and all VCSE organisations within Sussex that are committed to reducing health inequalities and improving health outcomes through partnership working and collaboration with others.

The core aim of the SVLA is to reduce avoidable health inequalities in Sussex and achieve improved health outcomes for the population.

The SVLA has developed a VCSE Commissioning Framework and supporting Memorandum of Understanding that have been signed off by the VCSE Sector and the Integrated Care Boards.

The SVLA works:

  • Between the VCSE Sector and Health and Care Partners in Sussex (in order to develop an effective Integrated Care Partnership Sussex)
  • Between individual VCSE organisations across Sussex
  • Between the VCSE Sector and other organisations that share the aim of reducing health inequalities and improving health outcomes

The VCSE sector brings specialist expertise and fresh perspectives to public service delivery and is particularly well placed to support people with complex and multiple needs. It has a long track record in promoting engagement and finding creative ways to improve outcomes for groups with the poorest health.
