Community Works awarded the Investors in the Environment Bronze Award
We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve been awarded the Investors in the Environment Bronze Award, highlighting our ongoing commitment to reducing our environmental impact. This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work of our dedicated staff, trustees, and Environment Representatives. A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved!
To achieve the iiE accreditation Community Works appointed a green champion, developed our environmental policy, measured resources usage, set performance targets, calculated our carbon footprint and created action, waste management and communications plans. We also teamed up with Sealife Brighton and The Green Centre to undertake two litter picking activities and ran a plastic free July drop-in session alongside Community Base and The Green Centre.
