Love & Light Film Showcase
Community Works held a special cinema evening dedicated to our incredible community groups and the power of film in the wonderful Worthing Pavilion Atrium

Community Works’ Love & Light Community Film Festival, held at the Worthing Pavilion Atrium, was a great success. Over 200 people booked onto the free event, that showcased films on the impact of social action in Adur and Worthing and heard from a panel of speakers on the power of film.
Headlining was a beautiful and powerful 50-minute documentary called Olly’s Light Travels which tells the story of a remarkable young man from Worthing and the legacy his family have created in his honour.
Jess Escourt, Community Works’ Relationships and Development Manager, who was part of the team who organised the festival, said, ‘What an incredible, powerful, moving and beautiful night! Over 200 people, 10 films, and over a dozen partners came together to share stories that matter. It was about love, resilience and community that grow from those experiences.’
The event was produced by Community Works in partnership with local charities and film production companies:
