Plastic Free July
As part of the global Plastic Free July, we collaborated with The Green Centre Brighton and Community Base to run a drop in session for community groups and organisations on Monday 15 July.
The session included a round table discussion led by Melanie Rees from the Green Centre and supported by Juliet Evans, Waste Minimisation Officer at BHCC providing tips and ideas on minimising plastic use, responding to questions as well as sharing of ideas by all.
Attendees also had the opportunity to watch a short video on ‘The story of plastic’ – see it here. Finally, they could look at samples and pick up discount vouchers from Harriet’s of Hove, Plastic Free Plant Based Refill Shop
