Reflections on our AGM
Over 80 people joined us at Southwick Community Centre to connect, share their experiences and celebrate 10 years of Community Works.
Highlights included:
A presentation from our CEO, Jess Sumner, our Chair, Ian Bretman, and our Treasurer, Geoff Shanks, on Community Works’ finances and service delivery in 2022/23.
In particular, Jess shared our organisational journey towards Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, including our approach to changing the organisational culture and running inclusive events.
We looked at some key moments since 2013:
- 15,000 people found a volunteering role through our Volunteer Centre
- 2600 organisations had bespoke one-to-one advice from our Sector Support team
- £16 million was raised for the local VCSE with our support
- 2,450 organisations came to our events, networks and training
